About Me

Jayashree: My love for drawing and painting started ever since my parents gifted me a box of crayons for my birthday in kindergarten. I use bright colors in most of my artworks for vivacity and expressiveness. I paint a variety of subjects: whatever suits my fancy at the moment.I earned my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and I work for the Avionics industry for many years. I also earned my Certificate in Graphics and Interactive Design from Foothill College,CA. As I lay each stroke of color in my artworks, I am always looking to add visual interest to my art pieces in order to create drama, mood, texture, light and humor. Creating art gives me immense joy and I hope to bring that joy to the viewer as well. My favorite mediums include Colored Pencils, Acrylics ,Mixed media and I enjoy creating art digitally using the iPad. I am member of the Sunnyvale Art Club, Sunnyvale,CA.I served as the Secretary of this club for 6 years. I have won many Awards through various juried art shows through this club.My Digital artworks have been juried on to the Mobile Digital Art Global Show and Creativity Summit and several artworks have been published in various art magazines.
