Today is my blog's 5th Birthday, and I share my Birthday today with a great person, because of which all iPad Artists ( me included) can create art today.
But today i share with you a post not on iPad art but a different kind of art called " Zentangle" or meditative form of doodling.
I downloaded Katherine Newman's app called Doodling Together where artists from all around the globe can contribute a tile to the project that she posts and once all the tiles are complete she puts them up on society 6 where you can get anywhere from tote bags, stationary and art prints.
For those of you who don't know what a tile is let me first explain what Zentangle is
Zentangle is an easy to learn method of creating beautiful images from structured patterns. It was developed by Maria Thomas and Rick Roberts of Zentangle, Inc.
Zentangle is Beautiful, Creative, Easy, Fun,Portable, Relaxing, Inexpensive and simple. It can increase your focus,help you relax,inspire your creativity , build your confidence, improve teamwork, change your outlook towards life.
A true classic Zentangle is created on a zentangle die-cut tile of archival quality print making paper. Use a black micron pen 01 by Sakura to draw tangles and sign your zentangle art.
So tiles are nothing but 3.5 x 3.5 inches of watercolor paper squares. The paper is called a tile because completed tiles can be arranged together in a beautiful mosaic.
So here is a mosaic for you from 35 artists around the globe with their art. I am so happy to share this with you because I am one among the 35 artists who's tiles are now accepted and finished.
