A Free Coloring Page for You!

A couple of years ago, I participated in a collaborative art  project called "Doodles for Donation", where artists were invited to create doodles which were later published as coloring books to be distributed for senior retirement homes as a way to relieve their stress.

I am glad to say that this  doodle below  was accepted as a part of their jury process.

I am sharing this coloring page here for you to print it out and color it any which way you like so that it can relieve your stress as well.

Gossip Time Coloring Page
Title: Gossip Time!

I am  someone who loves birds and also being an active birder , I decided to create this doodle. I imagined that the birds are meeting other birds on a hot summer day and are enjoying   and  gossiping on  the events of their day and that's the inspiration for this doodle.

You have my permission to color this page. But please don't sell the coloring page that I have created.

I would love to see your creations and please share your art with me on Instagram using the hashtag #coloringcreativejayu

Have a fun time coloring!

2)This year I will be attending  the CPSA (Colored Pencil Society of America ) International convention held later this month. The CPSA convention will be held in Brea,CA this year from July 31- Aug 3,2019.

I am also a  member of CPSA San Jose local chapter.  Local member chapter artists are contributing artworks related to Monarch Butterfly to raise awareness about the slow decline of this amazing butterfly population at this convention.

Picture below is a scientific illustration of the life cycle of the Monarch Butterfly. This illustration shows the various stages the Monarch butterfly goes through before it transforms itself into a beautiful butterfly.

4) I purchased a Tulip at a local farmers market. It was so beautiful that I decided to put my scientific illustration skills to test and created this artwork from life. The moths in the picture is also my own reference. I attended an event called "Moth Night" on National moth day last year. I added this moth to add visual interest to this composition. I made rough sketches of this moth in my sketchbook and used them as reference for my artwork.  The magnification of these moths have been reduced in scale.

Digital Whisper weekly challenge theme: Racoon and Every Inchie Monday-- Robot

Here are my entries for this week's Digital whisper challenge-- Racoon

Title: I am watching you !
Medium: iPad Art
Apps used: Procreate

Note: Picture of  Racoon taken from my camera roll. This racoon visits us daily.

Title: Time for  Dessert !
Apps used: Procreate
Medium: iPad Art

Note:  I wanted to infuse some humor onto this art piece. So used one of my favorite candy  for dessert. Also the car further ahead is not sure which way to pass them as these racoons want to  enjoy their dessert first.

This Racoon is originally my painting done using pencils on my sketchbook. I took a picture of  it and incorporated it into this collage painting.

I hope you like it. If you want to participate for this weekly challenge please visit  http://digitalwhisper.blogspot.com.au/

This week the theme  at "Every Inchie Monday"  is "Robot." This is the first time I am participating for this challenge. It was quite challenging for me to work on such a small canvas as I am used to working in larger canvases. But I feel as an artist we sometimes have to break out of our comfort zone  and play and experiment with art.

Title: Beep Beep !
Medium: Micron Pens and Color Pencils on Moleskin journal
